Young Mayors sit at the heart of the decision making process and help
influence the way in which decisions are made for young people in their
Boroughs. GOL are currently working closely with the London young mayors,
supporting development of the network and hosting some of the activities
until June. Already there have been two very successful network
meetings at GOL, one attended by representatives from the London Serious
Youth Violence Board (LSYVB) to talk through programmes and initiatives.
The young people have also started to plan a stocktake of their first five
years work in their local authorities to highlight their successes,
challenges and the importance of youth engagement at local and regional
level.
