Launch of Civil Service London

Published: Thu, 18 Feb 2010 13:58:15

On 21st January, GOL hosted the launch of Civil Service London, part of the wider Civil Service in the English Regions Programme. The national programme aims “To have a professional, well motivated and skilled workforce that takes pride in, and is passionate about, delivering better, more cost-effective public services in the English Regions.” The programme was launched by Head of the Home Civil Service Sir Gus O'Donnell; Chris Hayes, Regional Director of the Government Office for London; and Jonathan Stephens, Permanent Secretary of DCMS and Civil Service London Champion.

The CSL programme seeks to support all the civil servants that are based in the region; currently this covers approximately 86,000 officers working in 85 different service organisations.

For more information, see the Civil Service Website.
