Halloween and Fireworks

In support of the many initiatives that take place across London on an annual basis, the London Anti-social Behaviour Board and Joint Action Group are working closely with partner agencies to coordinate a pan-London approach to tackling the anti-social behaviour associated with both Halloween and fireworks, including the development of a campaign to increase awareness of firework safety.

Recognising the high level of public concern about anti-social behaviour, all boroughs are engaging in this high profile London-wide initiative to help tackle anti-social behaviour and increase awareness of firework safety. The London Halloween and fireworks initiative has been developed to:

  • Reduce the anti-social behaviour associated with the Halloween and firework period in London.
  • Coordinate efforts to reduce anti-social use of fireworks at a local level, strengthen enforcement work, and reassure local communities and increase quality of life and feelings of safety.
  • Highlight and promote the initiatives that are already making a difference in reducing anti-social behaviour associated with Halloween and fireworks.
  • Share that learning more widely – ensuring best practice is passed on and replicated.
  • Increase awareness of firework safety – and reduce the number of firework related injuries.

The initiative was launched in September with action taking place across London through till the end of November.
